1974- Disengagement Agreements Between Israel,Syria and Egypt

 

In January, Israel agreed to a disengagement agreement under which its forces would withdraw from the west bank of the Suez Canal, as well as, from an area on the east side of the Canal. In May, Israel and Syria also agreed to a disengagement plan. Under its terms, Israel withdrew from territory seized during the 1973 war as well as from the town of Kuneitra seized in 1967.
